Dr. Asiya Maheen Khan, MD, is a Staff Physician in the Imaging Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.
Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Khan worked in various esteemed hospitals in the UAE, including Mediclinic City Hospital, Dubai and Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC), Abu Dhabi. Currently, she works as a Consultant Breast Radiologist at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's state-of-the-art Breast Imaging Program.
After successfully completing a five year training programme in Clinical Radiology from West Midlands Deanery, UK, Dr. Khan achieved her Completion of Core Training (CCT) in 2017. Following this, she completed her Breast & Gyn Imaging Fellowship from Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, UK.
Dr. Kahn has successfully completed an M.Sc in Medical Management and Leadership from Birmingham University,UK, and currently plays an overscrupulous role in improving the Breast Imaging services here at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.
She has also completed a masters in ArtificiaI Intelligence and Machine Learning from Austin, Texas US, and is involved in various managerial and AI related projects in collaboration with Qure.
Teaching is an area of interest for Dr. Khan and she has successfully completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education from Dundee University, Scotland, and is involved in regularly teaching on the FRCR Courses in various esteemed FRCR Courses including the Apollo FRCR Course in Inida. She has been a reviewer for various medical journals with high Impact factors.
Dr. Khan is trained in reading films, screening and diagnostic mammograms, cross-sectional (trauma & oncological) imaging (CT), breast ultrasound and MRI and various breast and gynaecological interventional procedures. Her hands-on skills include ultrasound guided fine needle aspiration, core biopsies of breast lesions and axillary lymph nodes, stereotactic vacuum-assisted core biopsies, ultrasound and mammographic guided pre-operative needle/magseed localisations of breast lesions. She is also adept in performing MRI and Tomosynthesis guided breast biopsies.
