28Dr. Eric Francois, MD, is a Staff Physician at the Interventional Pain Management Centre, Anesthesiology Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.
Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Francois worked as a Consultant Anesthesiologist and Pain Specialist at the Saint-Elisabeth Hospital, Namur, Belgium.
Dr. Francois received his medical degree from the Catholic University of Louvain. He completed his training in Anesthesiology at the Free University of Liege and was accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education of the French Community of Belgium. He completed a Belgian interuniversity fellowship and was certified as a Pain Specialist in 2006.
Dr. Francois was instrumental in the development of, and went on to lead, one of Belgium's Pain Centers of Excellence. In 2015, he was certified by the World Institute of Pain in interventional procedures. Since joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Francois has been instrumental in the development of the hospital's Interventional Pain Management Centre.
In his spare time, Dr. Francois enjoys long distance running, cycling, tennis, ski and travelling.
