Dr. Hamad Alhameli, MD, is a Staff Physician within the Allergy & Immunology Department of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s Medical Specialty Institute.
Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Alhameli worked as an Allergy Consultant at the Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Dr. Alhameli completed his residency training in General Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine at Charite University Hospital in Berlin, Germany. After finishing his residency training, he joined the fellowship in Allergy. During his training, he was actively involved in several research projects including HEAP (Hen's Eggs Allergy Prevention), and participated in the clinical trials for new drug therapies, including the oral immunotherapy for peanut allergy, the epicutaneous immunotherapy for peanut allergy and inhaled epinephrine for the management of anaphylactic reaction as an alternative to intramuscular epinephrine injection.
In his spare time, Dr. Alhameli enjoys spending time with his family, cycling, running and traveling.
