Dr. Hector Godoy

Dr. Hector F. Godoy, MD, is an Associate Staff Physician within the Anesthesiology Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Godoy worked as Senior Specialist Anesthesia in Saudi Arabia at Procare Riaya Hospital and Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group. He also held the position of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologist in Colombia and Venezuela working for public and private hospitals.

Dr. Godoy received his medical degree from Universidad Romulo Gallegos, Guarico, Venezuela, and completed his residency in Anesthesia at Universidad Central de Venezuela. He obtained his fellowship in Cardiovascular Anesthesia at Hospital Universitario de Caracas, Venezuela.

Dr. Godoy completed his Masters degree in Regional Anesthesia and Interventional Pain Treatment under Ultrasound Guidance from Universidad de Salamanca, Spain. He obtained a Master of Business Administration at Universidad Catolica de Murcia, Spain as well as Postgraduate Extended Diploma in Healthcare Business Management from Cambridge International Qualifications, UK.

Dr. Godoy is a Black Belt professional in the Lean Six Sigma Quality program, to enhance Operating Room performance, following institutional policies and regulations according to International standards stated by JCIA within healthcare settings. Patient safety and satisfaction is the cornerstone of his medical practice.

Dr. Godoy is an affiliated member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists USA, European Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care, and European Society of Regional Anesthesia.

He also provides volunteering work as an anesthesiologist with humanitarian foundations such as Doctors Without Borders and Mercyships.

Dr. Godoy resides in Abu Dhabi with his family. In his spare time he enjoys outdoor sports, improving his physical and mental health continuously as well as attending meetings, and workshops to boost his professional career.
