15Dr. Jamil R. Dibu, MD, is the Section Headr in the Critical Care Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Dibu completed a two year fellowship in Neurocritical Care at Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio, US.
Dr. Dibu received his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences, then earned his medical degree from the American University, Beirut, Lebanon. He completed his internship in Internal Medicine and residency in Neurology at the University of Arkansas in Little Rock, Arkansas, US. Dr. Dibu is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, with additional specialty certification in Neurocritical care. He is a member of several professional societies, including the American Academy of Neurology, Neurocritical Care Society and the American Heart Association. His specialty interests include management of subarachnoid hemorrhage, acute ischemic stroke, intracranial hemorrhage, coma, severe meningitis and encephalitis, management of status epilepticus and intracranial hypertension.
Dr. Dibu has published a number of articles in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters on Neurocritical Care topics, with a focus on primary and secondary hemorrhagic strokes.
Dr. Dibu resides in Abu Dhabi. He has a keen interest for competing in long distance triathlon races.
