Dr. Khaldoon Alkhaldi

Dr. Khaldoon Alkhaldi, MD, is a staff Physician within the Emergency Medicine Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Alkhaldi was a Consultant in Emergency Medicine at Tawam Hospital and Shaikh Khalifa Medical City, Abu Dhabi.  

Dr. Alkhaldi a UAE Graduate from the Medical School of the UAE University, Al Ain, and is board-certified in Emergency Medicine from Rennes University, France. He completed three fellowships at the BIDMC Emergency Medicine Department, Harvard Medical School, Boston, US, in Disaster Medicine and Emergency Management, International EMS and Pre-Hospital Care, and Crisis leadership,.

Dr. AlKhaldi's interests are in disaster medicine, including Mass Gathering Medicine, International EMS, and Disaster Preparedness. He has participated in many disaster drills and was involved in evaluating the medical response in the Federal Capstone Exercise, Alaska Shield, a federal disaster drill, and worked as a section author on the new edition of Dr. Gregory R. Ciottone's Disaster Medicine Book. He is also an evaluator in UAE government excellence programs. 

Dr. AlKhaldi has extensive experience in emergency and healthcare management and possess the key skills necessary for exemplary leadership in EMS and Emergency & Disaster Medicine. He has held many leadership positions while working in Abu Dhabi Health Services, including Executive Project Manager, Chairman Emergency Medicine Council and Acting Deputy Chief of Quality Division
