Dr. Khalid Yusupov

Dr. Khalid E. Yusupov, MBBS, PhD, is an Associate Staff Physician within the Critical Care Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Yusupov worked as an ICU Specialist in Mediclinic Parkview Hospital, Dubai, where his performance exceeded expectation. Before that, Dr. Yusupov worked as an ICU Specialist for over 18 years at King Saud Medical City, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in the biggest critical care department in the Middle East. During the COVID 19 pandemic, the hospital had over 300 ICU beds, and Dr. Yusupov was awarded a certificate of appreciation in recognition of his excellent performance.

Dr. Yusupov received his medical degree from Azerbaijan Medical University, Azerbaijan, and he completed his residency in Cardiovascular Surgery from Centeenamed Bakulev, Moscow, Russia. He obtained a PhD degree at the same center.

Dr. Yusupov has been awarded the European Diploma in Intensive Care by the ESICM. He was awarded a certificate in recognition of his teaching role in the Rapid Response Team course, and received an appreciation certificate for Best Physician in a Case Presentation from King Saud Medical City, Riyadh. He also received a certificate of appreciation as Instructor at a Critical Care Ultrasound course from Mediclinic Parkview, Dubai.

Dr. Yusupov has published articles in notable journals, including Cardiovascular Diseases, Russian Journal, and The Bulleten of Bakoulev Center, and has publications in the Critical Care & Emergency Medicine journal.

Dr. Yusupov resides in Abu Dhabi, with his mother and son, and in his spare time he enjoys watching movies
