He received his medical training from Stanford University Medical Center and while attending the University of Maryland, he was considered one of the best young Neuro-Interventional Surgeons. During his time serving there, he performed more than 2,000 angiograms and one of the earliest pipeline flow diversion surgeries in the state of Maryland.
