Dr. Robert A. Fearnley

Dr. Robert A. Fearnley, MD, is a Staff Physician in the Anesthesiology Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Fearnley was a Consultant Anesthesiologist at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in Abu Dhabi.  Prior to this he was a Consultant Anesthesiologist and clinical lead for transplant anesthesia at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, London, UK.

Dr. Fearnley received his undergraduate medical training at Cambridge University, UK, and completed his post graduate medical training at Guy's, King's and St Thomas' medical school, London, UK.  He completed his residency at St Thomas' Hospital, UK, before completing additional training in accident and emergency medicine and intensive care medicine at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney, Australia.

Dr. Fearnley commenced basic anesthetic training in 2006 and subsequently completed multiple fellowships. He completed a fellowship in thoracic anesthesia at Guy's Hospital, UK, in hepatobiliary anesthesia at King's College Hospital, UK, in complex airway anesthesia at Guy's Hospital, UK and a Chief Fellow in intensive care medicine at The Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney. 

He was appointed as a Consultant Anesthesiologist at Guy's and St Thomas' in 2014 and moved to Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in 2018.

Dr. Fearnley resides in Abu Dhabi with his wife and two Children.
