Dr. Salmaan Khan

Dr. Salmaan Khan, MBBS, is a Staff Physician in the Medical Subspecialties Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, specializing in Family Medicine. 

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Khan worked as a Family Medicine Consultant in London, UK. He was the Family Medicine Lead for the Urgent Care Centre at North Middlesex University Hospital, one of London’s largest and busiest teaching hospitals looking after patients from across the capital as part of the UK’s National Health Service (NHS). He spent over 10 years working in the NHS and has a broad range of experience in both physical and mental health illnesses across all age groups.

Dr. Salmaan Khan received his medical degree with a Distinction from Imperial College London, UK and he achieved his Bachelor’s degree with Honors in International Health and Development from University College London, UK. He completed his Residency in Family Medicine as an Academic Clinical Fellow with University College London at The Royal Free Hospital in London. During this time, he was supervised and mentored by the president of the Royal College of General Practitioners and conducted research on evaluating the effectiveness of integrated healthcare systems.

Dr. Khan achieved his UK CCT (Board Certification) in Family Medicine in London, UK and became a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners. He is also a member of the Royal College of Pathologists as a certified Medical Examiner for death certification and investigations. He completed a Post-Graduate Fellowship in Urgent & Acute Care at University College London Hospital and was the Quality Improvement Clinical Lead for a large London GP Federation.

Dr. Khan has a special interest in Holistic Health and Lifestyle Medicine. He has a Post-Graduate Certificate in Health & Wellbeing from Canterbury Christ Church University in the UK is currently completing his Diploma with the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine.

Dr. Khan resides in Abu Dhabi with his wife and 3 young children. He values spending quality time with friends and family and loves reading. He enjoys trying new foods, travelling and outdoor physical sports and activities.
