10Dr. Shaza Karrar, MD, is an Associate Staff Physician in the Emergency Medicine Institutes at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Karrar served as the chief resident and specialist at Zayed Military Hospital, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Dr. Karrar received her medical degree from the University of Sharjah, College of Medicine in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. She completed her residency at Zayed Military Hospital, Emergency Medicine Residency Training Program at which she got the opportunity to rotate through multiple Emergency Departments across the country, gaining excellent exposure to all types of emergencies.
During her training, Dr. Karrar developed interests into Medical Toxicology and Disaster Medicine and progressed to gain further exposure at the Georgia Poison Control Center at Emory University and is actively involved in research in these disciplines.
Dr. Karrar resides in Abu Dhabi, she enjoys running, music, podcasting and reading on astrophysics and entrepreneurship.
