Dr. Yaseen Moussa

Dr. Yaseen Moussa, OD, is a US board-certified Doctor of Optometry and Clinical Optometrist within the Eye Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Moussa practiced as an Optometric Physician in his own private clinic, Toms River Eye Consultants, in Toms River, New Jersey, US. There, he provided comprehensive eye care specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease including bacterial/viral infections, ocular trauma related care, ocular surface disease, uveitis, macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal disease.

During this period, Dr. Moussa worked with specialists to co-manage ocular surgeries such as cataract extraction, LASIK, and various retinal surgeries. He also worked with other primary care physicians to manage systemic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, autoimmune conditions, neurological disorders and suspected cancerous lesions.

Dr. Moussa earned his Bachelor of Integrative Biology/Pre-medicine from Southeastern Louisiana University and followed that by earning his Doctor of Optometry degree from the State University of New York College of Optometry in Manhattan, NY. He completed his rotations at Governeur Health Hospital and in New York University Langone Health Hospital.

Dr. Moussa is a member of the American Optometric Association and has passed the American Board of Optometry and currently holds a license in the US as a Doctor of Optometry.
