Dr. Yasmin Abdelmajid

Dr. Yasmin Abdelmajid, MD, is an Associate Staff Physician within the Neurological Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Yasmin completed a Movement Disorders fellowship at the University of Western Ontario, Canada, gaining extensive experience in managing a wide spectrum of movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, atypical Parkinsonian syndromes, dystonia, tremors, Huntington’s disease, ataxia and other neurodegenerative conditions. She developed exceptional skills in managing complex Parkinson’s disease cases, utilizing the most advanced therapies including deep brain stimulation (DBS), botulinum toxin therapy, and infusion pump therapies.

Dr. Yasmin is also highly proficient in using botulinum toxin therapy for treating various forms of dystonia (including cervical dystonia, hemifacial spams, blephrospam, writer’s cramps, and others), tremors, and spasticity, employing unique world-class techniques. Her main mission is to incorporate the latest technologies, as well as international guidelines and standards of care, to ensure optimal management strategies in the field of movement disorders and neurological diseases.

Apart from her comprehensive expertise in movement disorders, Dr. Yasmin is highly competent in managing a diverse range of neurological disorders including headaches, dementia, neuromuscular disorders, neuroimmunology and epilepsy.

Dr. Yasmin completed her Neurology Residency Training Program at Rashid Hospital, Dubai Health Authority, where she served as Chief Resident for two years.

Dr. Yasmin currently resides in Abu Dhabi, and enjoys classical music, reading and travelling.
