Dr. Zabair Ahmed

Dr. Zabair Ahmed, MD, is a Family Medicine Consultant in the Primary Care Department of the Medical Subspecialties Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Ahmed worked as a Consultant in Family Medicine in the UK for 7 years. Primarily, he was the Clinical and Managing Partner at a busy medical practice in West Yorkshire with over 10,000 registered patients. Under his leadership, Dr/ Ahmed focused on improving patient centered care through digital technology. 

Dr. Ahmed was also the Chief Medical Officer at Huddersfield Town Football Club where he was responsible for the management of the physical and mental wellbeing of the players. Within his role of 6 years as a Sports and Exercise Physician, he became experienced in musculoskeletal medicine, sports performance, rehabilitation and acute trauma management on the field of play.

Dr. Ahmed received his medical degree in 2010 from the University of Leeds, UK. He underwent his Specialist Training at the Yorkshire and Humber Deanery which he completed in 2015. Thereafter, he undertook a Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Exercise Medicine from the University of South Wales, UK.

With over 12 years of experience within the NHS and the private sector in physical and mental health illnesses across all age groups, his specialist interests include musculoskeletal medicine, joint and soft tissue injections and chronic disease management. 

Dr. Ahmed resides in Abu Dhabi with his wife and 3 children. His hobbies include cycling and running.
