Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi Enhances Service Offering to Patients in Al Ain

Expansion of Abu Dhabi Campus Offers Wide Range of Outpatient and Advanced Imaging Services

Patients can now access select outpatient medical services from Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi – Al Ain​, a new facility designed to support the community in the ‘Garden City’ and surrounding areas. 

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi – Al Ain, part of Mubadala’s network of healthcare providers, will provide patients in the region with direct access to Cleveland Clinic’s unique model of care closer to home.  

The announcement has been welcomed by existing patients living in Al Ain and the surrounding area, who will benefit from consultant-led services in primary care.  Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s primary caregivers can seamlessly refer Al Ain-based patients to specialists as required for follow-up diagnosis and treatment through our integrated healthcare system. 

Patients are now able to book appointments with Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi healthcare professionals to receive diagnostic services and health advice in Al Ain, covering general medicine, cardiology, digestive diseases, neurology, pulmonology and bariatric, cardiac and general pre- and post-surgery assessments, and advanced PET-CT and CT diagnostic imaging on set days of the week. 

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi – Al Ain has integrated the state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging resources and full team from the Tawam Molecular Imaging Centre, so patients can enjoy the highest standard of service across a range of treatment areas. These include diagnostic imaging services for the early detection and management of cancer, cardiovascular, neurological and other diseases.

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi – Al Ain will work closely with Mubadala’s healthcare providers in the area, such as Imperial College London Diabetes Centre, to provide comprehensive diagnostic experiences.  

Patients who need surgery or a longer-term care program, and those requiring multi-disciplinary care, will be transferred to Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s main facility in the capital after initial consultations.  

Since opening its doors in Abu Dhabi in 2015, experts from Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi have been working with Mubadala and the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi to identify under-served medical needs across the community, and particularly in the Eastern Region. Globally, Cleveland Clinic specializes in delivering global healthcare of the highest quality, and experts at the hospital were keen to expand its globally-integrated healthcare delivery system to Al Ain.  

The opening of the new Al Ain facility is part of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s strategy to enable more patients to access the right level of care when and where they need it. Its award-winning Emergency Department in Abu Dhabi is open 24 hours a day, and the hospital is expanding clinical hours at the most-visited clinics.
