• Bariatric surgical procedures grew by 28% over 2021.
• Significant growth of the liver transplant program (11 liver transplants done in 2020 vs 46 in 2021).
• Intestinal Failure Program established, serving patients in need of long-term parenteral nutrition.
• UAE’s first Transoral Incisionless Fundoplication (TIF) procedure introduced.

• National Emirates Emergency Medicine Residents Assembly (NEEMRA) virtual rounds launched, bringing together all academic emergency medicine programs in the UAE.

• First PreserFlo™ MicroShunt glaucoma surgery in the Middle East.

• Structural Heart Program growth, with 80% year-on-year increase in Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) cases.

• Comprehensive Lifestyle Medicine Program for breast cancer patients launched, with the first of its kind Center for Healthier Living, in collaboration with the Oncology Institute.

• 1st Dopa-Pump surgery in the UAE.
• Used the 1st Surpass Flow-Diverter in the GCC.
