The Radiation Safety and Medical Physics team’s mission is to promote and ensure the safe and effective use of radiation within Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. This involves the use of radiation for diagnosis and treatment of patients, as well as in laboratory research.
The Quality & Patient Safety Institute’s Radiation Safety and Medical Physics team ensure patient safety by providing essential oversight of quality programs and continuous education to caregivers.
Working closely with the Imaging institute, the team support the ‘Image Wisely and Gently’ pledge to ensure safe and effective imaging testing. At all times, the institute strictly adheres to best practices and the highest regulatory standards to prioritize patient care quality and safety, following protocols for using the lowest appropriate radiation levels, and conducting continuous patient reporting.
