Sterile Compounding Academy: From Planning To Operation​

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s Sterile Compounding Academy: From Planning to Operation, provides pharmacists and other compounding professionals exposure to current sterile compounding best practices in an immersive learning environment.

Held onsite at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s Sterile Preparation Center, the program offers a comprehensive curriculum in a real-life setting. Through presentations, lectures, and hands-on training in a state-of-the-art preparation center, attendees receive mentoring from faculty who are subject experts.

Attendees completing this program will gain an understanding of how to develop and implement an operation that meets or exceeds USP Chapter requirements.

What is the course format?

The course consists of home study with a learning assessment, and onsite training with a competency assessment. The onsite training occurs over a period of 5 consecutive days and takes place 4 times a year.

What are the course requirements?

Activity participants are required to achieve 80% passing grade associated with a self-study learning assessment prior to attending the live event. Full attendance and the completion of an activity evaluation and practical skill set competency evaluation are a compulsory requirement to achieve credit for the live event.

Will I receive ACPE Accreditation?

Attendees of the Sterile Compounding Academy will receive a statement of credit for a total of 33 continuing education hours that are approved through the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).

To receive the statement of credit hours for the home-study component, participants must complete all 28 modules with a score of 80% in each module and submit a completed evaluation.
